Week 65 (Nov. 17, 2014)

Familia,

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO KADEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope you had a wonderful day!!

All is going super well down here. We had another great week. This Tuesday we had a zone conference with President. It was nice to have him come back and help us a little. We talked a lot about contacting and we pretty much practiced for about half the time. He also helped us improve our teaching of lesson 1, the restoration. We literally practiced for half an hour teaching. It was really cool though. My companion and I are teaching very well together. He is super cool. The transfers are coming this week and it is like the only time that I haven’t wanted to transfer. But oh well. I just realized that I really miss the food back home. We have a cool eternal investigator that invites us to eat every Saturday and Sunday night. He has a fun little game called, Give as much food to the missionaries as possible, it sounds like a fun game right? NOT hahaha he is a really good guy but I always leave sick from his house haha. I am really going to miss this area.
This week we have continued working with David’s family. They are super cool. They are progressing very nicely and love the things that we are teaching them. They love to have us in their home. I am sad because I probably won’t be here in this area when they all get baptized, but I hope they can get there one day. David went to a YSA activity this week and is loving it! He has a desire to go on a mission. I am a proud papa!!! hahaha. We are also working with another big family, they are progressing a little bit slower but are still very great people.
Yes we did paint our wall, the only problem is that the mold grew back haha. So we are going to try something different and hope that works better. hahah The house does look a little better though. :)
That was my week. Love you all a ton!

Week 64 (Nov. 10, 2014)

He kinda looks like he is in Prison!! (but smiling)
Family,

Another Happy Week!!!
This week was another normalish week. We contacted so many people this week! And we found 2 new families. One of them is a street salesman that we found one night helping him cross a muddy street. So we went to his house and found him and like 5 teenagers that work with him. We started teaching them on Monday and returned to teach them another lesson on Wednesday. When we taught the second time we asked them if they wanted to get baptized and they said yes, the only problem is that they are planning on moving to another house and so they might not be here for too long.
We have also been working hard with David’s family. David is the young man that we baptized last week. He is so excited about all that is happening in the church. Right now we are getting him ready because he wants to go on a mission as well!!! He is a super special convert. We are also working with his family because they are all pretty excited as well! We are working hard with David’s sister because he said that she wants to be baptized as well. Sorry today is going to be a little short as well. Really nothing new happened, just working like normal.
The APs came this week and studied with us. It was kind of cool. We also found mold growing on our wall thanks to all the humidity and rain down here. But ya today we cleaned it off and we are going to paint our house this week.
That’s the what’s up from here in Mexico. Hope you all have a wonderful week!!!

Week 63 (Nov. 3, 2014)

Family,
I just want to you to know that I am super jealous of your Vegas trip. Yes mom that little village part in Vegas is probably exactly the same as it is down here.
This was a very good week. First off WE HAD A BAPTISM! David. He was a golden investigators. Ever since we met him he wanted to know more about the church. We had his baptism planned for the next week, but while we were in a lesson with him, one of the members reminded us that the Ward temple trip was next week and that if we baptized him that week not many people would be able to go. So the member commented, ´´Just do it this week.´´ David was excited and accepted. So we went with the member that same day to do the interview. Also Davids family showed up to his baptism. So after we talked to them. They were very excited. They also came to church that Sunday. We were able to talk to them, the dad said that he has a few promises he has to keep with another church but in January he will finish them. They want to be baptized as well. We are going to work on getting the rest of his family baptized before January though. They are a very special family.

Also this week we went to do contacting in the cemetery for day of the dead. } We really didn't have to much luck there because it is a very small cemetery and well not many people showed up. With a few we were able to show a video and explain the plan of salvation with them. The only problem is that they live in barrankas and I don't know what area that is a part of. We did fight with a die hard catholic family though haha. We stayed there for a few hours but then left to get ready for the baptism.
That was our week. We are still working with a few other investigators that are progressing very well. We hope to have another 2 baptismal dates by the end of this week.
Also this week a missionary came home in the other ward. We were here with the other elders when she showed up. it was cool to see a missionary return but it was also weird because I started to think about what I is going to be like when I get home.

That was our week. I love you all a ton!!!
